Bob and Betty Newbie are in the gallery. The Pancakes' are just based on them, they're not the alternate reality version of them.
I don't know, the Gurus didn't disagree with this theory. Betty and Eliza are both shortened versions of Elizabeth. Alternative reality if you have seen Into the Spiderverse, Spider-Man didn't have the same name, hair color, or gender with the Multiverse either. Odd the Calientes lost their alien ancestry too. I did hear from others that the alternative universe theory was a cop out to not doing research work on the older Sims lore. So based on is just the same explanation as why there is an alternative universe in the first place. The work didn't need to be done to look into it. I actually like Betty more than Eliza and Bob Pancakes more than Bob Newbie, so I could hook up their multiverse versions with each other.
