MintiaUA, you basically predicted the future.
Back in January 2024, you wrote that the Ukrainian volunteer translation might reach 80% by 2026. Well, I’m reporting back from 2026: the community did not just reach that milestone — it went even further.

According to an update from the Vedmezhuika translation team published on June 22, 2026, volunteers have now translated 97% of The Sims 4 base game.
Their translation package also includes complete Ukrainian translations of several Stuff Packs and Kits, a partial translation of Realm of Magic, and 41% of Cats & Dogs. The main menu has also been translated.

So this is no longer just a request or a hopeful prediction. It is evidence of a genuinely active, creative, and constructive Ukrainian Sims community that has spent years translating, testing, maintaining, and updating the game without official support.
This community includes translators, modders, video creators, storytellers, builders, and many younger players. With official Ukrainian language support, it could create even more videos, challenges, guides, stories, mods, and other content. It could also lower the barrier for Ukrainian creators who may one day contribute official projects such as Creator Kits.
At the moment, Ukrainian players are still forced to choose between English, Russian, and an unofficial translation maintained by volunteers.
Speaking personally, Russian is not an equivalent substitute for me. Its localization often changes the tone, humour, and nuances of the original English text, sometimes making parts of the game feel noticeably different from the original.
The community has already proved that Ukrainian localization is possible, wanted, and worth maintaining. The volunteers have done something remarkable, but access to The Sims in Ukrainian should not depend indefinitely on unpaid community work.
Now it is EA’s turn to catch up with the community.
