It´s so annoying. My Sims get the Burnout Moodlet, when they´re only make their jobs. No other working things

My sim worked for four days, I played them as normal, at the fourth day he got burnout.
How are people even playing this game anymore?

I have found that if I play an unbalanced lifestyle it will usually keep the burnout away ie if sim has a creative job then they only do exercise and mental at home (painter comes home and goes jogging, does side jobs programming on computer, stargazes) or vice versa. I’m also considering modding it out because it is so frustrating and doesn’t let me play my game the way I want to.
I can’t believe that they would implement such a feature without an option to turn it off.
I would like for EA to add the option to turn off burnout as I feel it ruins the whole experience.
The burn out feature is so tiring, I’m playing the sims 4 to have fun and nit to have a realistic experience but my sims are getting burn out literally every other day. I understand it’s because I make them work hard at work and stuff but it’s because I want them to have money LMAO. I’m on console too so I can’t have mods that can turn it on and off, I have the wants and fears thing off as well for this very reason ://
- @Ebzyaj I'm getting mine to add more funds with things that don't seem to cause burnout, like Fishing, Collecting or Gardening and selling their harvestables through the household inventory because it's less work and earns more.
For burnout at work I have to really watch the clock. I start out with Work Hard and then just before the halfway point in the work day I switch it to Work Normally or Socialise with Co workers.
I just don't want them arriving home pulling that face! That Dazed appearance is awful. Blimey I've handle all kinds of deadlines, late nights and bringing work home with me but I never once pulled a face like that! 😵💫
I'd give a thousand Simoleans for a Burnout Banishing reward potion! - CharityCodes2 years agoRising Veteran
One option is to get the Carefree reward trait that prevents tense buffs. 👿 BUT I'm about to report that as a bug! My super sim cannot get the burnout milestone because she cannot get tense. The creative and mental fog just disappear with 22 hours or more left and there is no burnout. I'm going to have to cheat to remove the traits so she can get it. It also took a solid week of doing nothing but making robotics items to get the mental fog moodlet. I have all of the reward traits, so she has no needs. I was making robots 24/7 for 8-9 in-game days before it happened. SOOO...there must be some traits preventing the moodlet as well. Maybe idea person?
@CharityCodes try just sending the Sim to work and selecting Work Hard. That is still causing Burnout for all of my Sims with the Carefree Reward Trait.
My sim was getting burnt out from work, so I took the advise to take a couple of days off and do something creative, so I took my sim to Salvadora for a holiday and she got burnt out from doing the jungle path and archaeology excavation...
I've also searched forums to find a way around it, but even spending reward points on the moodlet potion to remove negative moodlets hasn't worked.
This is my go-to game, but I don't see the point in continuing to play if it's not actually going to be enjoyable.

Burnout is boring lazy game design. Yeah I said it. Give us the option to turn this off. Playing a legacy game means every generation has this same boring dumb problem, things take twice as long, and there is far less fun to be had.
It's just irritating that we can't toggle it off.
