make a box to check that makes the sims stop autonomously using their phone. they already have short lives and they spend half of that life on the stupid phone, like real, stupid people. I play the sims to get away from real people who are addicted to their phone. please just make this stop. it isn't fun or neat or cute, it's just dumb.

@cbarber89I agree! The more we rely on technology to communicate, replacing actual in-person gatherings or allow it to distract us in what is going on around us as we are out and about in the real world... depression starts to really come into play. We think we are connecting more with technology, but it's just not the same as getting together with people and loved ones face to face.
So to see this in the game too... is actually very frustrating and depressing. That's why I've begun to turn off free will. That really helps.

I am so with you on this! Even in the middle of a conversation with another sim, if you are not constantly finding new topics, your sim will start checking their phone - it's so annoying. I wish there was some way to turn it off, for real!!
Agree. It's really annoying when they cause the conversation to come to a halt to check their phone while talking with someone. Mad rude. I don't know why they had to add this, all it does is slow things down and add yet another thing to make conversations awkward.
