I do agree with you that the constant focus is overwhelming though.
My mistake; I've filed a bunch of bugs, but I don't think I've ever touched this forum.

@HeroicJay you can get rid of the Focused Buff by taking a Soothing Shower. It clears the Focus altogether for my Sims.

The wording is ambiguous - I was under the impression that this would reinforce the Focused buffs. Either way, is that really my best solution? Have my Sim take a shower every time he gets hyperfocused (which is often)?

@HeroicJayNo it definitely doesn't reinforce it. It clears it completely. Perhaps that's why it was added along with the trait to give an option to get rid of the focus.
I get my Sim with that trait to do anything that builds skills (because that sets off the 24hr Focus) in the evening, then go to bed. When they get up in the morning they have around 18 hours Focus left if I don't want the Focused Buff I get them to take a Soothing Shower and it's immediately gone until they next practice a skill or carry out an interaction which gains skills.
Perhaps the ultimate option is to buy a Retraiting Potion for 5000 reward points I suppose and clear the trait altogether.

I would LOVE if this was true. Have you spent time playing with this trait? Or did you just read the description?? Because your solution literally does not work. :/
A little bit sometimes, but the buff is absolute powerful *. It's ruined an entire generation for me. I can't even hit basic stuff like, "become inspired."
