Quality of life updates I want

Quality of Life updates I’d like to see

Item 1:

I wish “serve meal” would only serve the household number. Let’s say I have only three Sims living together. I want one Sim to “Serve Dinner”  and it will be 8 servings. I realize you can go into Cook and Bake and select family size 4 which is more reasonable, but that causes a game freeze. I want to click Serve Meal, but usually tell each Sim to make separately or Quick Meal, so they can't eat together. This also makes it so I never give my Sims grills. (Maybe if this isn’t possible, “Make meal for…” for a child, since they can’t cook for themselves.)

Item 2:

I like the “remove shoes/wear slippers” items, but in some cases I don’t. Sometimes, I’ll build a farm that includes a barn with an empty door space for the chickens to go in and out of into a gated off section that my Sim will have to go to serve and clean the henhouses. I’ve never worked on a farm before, but I’m willing to bet this would leave my shoes disgusting. So, I'm guessing that I would definity want to take my shoes of when entering the house and that I would NOT want to go into the chicken paddock with only socks or bare feet.

Also, why would the Sim remove their shoes when entering the “Shared Space” in a rental residential? (also if you have an indoor swimming pool - NEVER TELL THEM TO WEAR SLIPPERS INDOORS, that just looks uncomfortable)

Item 3: (I believe there’s a hat rack) It’d be kind of cool if you could select “remove hats indoors”.

Item 4: (might require a HUGE update, unfortunately) Bust the Dust. I don’t mind making my Sim vacuum due to dust, but with how quickly it comes back, I wish instead of having to disactivate the pack, there was a slider to determine how much time it takes for dust build up. Also, would prefer if the vacuum cleaner would not automatically go into the Sim’s inventory, so they have to be the sole vacuum person.

(This would be a kit) and I only “want it” if they can do the slider technique for Bust the Dust. Something similar that would introduce lawnmowers.

  • If you have Pets, there is a rumba vacuum cleaner that does it's thing by itself. If you upgrade it you don't even need to clean the trash compartment and your house will be sparkling clean every day. One of those on each floor and you don't need to use the hand vacuums anymore. In my game, one goes and cleans the barn too, because it can access it, but even if it couldn't physically access it, it would still clean there too. 😁
As for the hand held vacuums, I think the dust accumulation also depends on how many sims you have on the lot, with single sims it needs vacuuming every few days or so.  With some sims I let them use the hand vacuums, seems more realistic that not everyone has fancy gadgets.
