Rant to The Sims 4 and the community as a newcomer. (Get ready for a long essay)

I don't know how to say this......The Sims 4 or the Community is at its crossroads right now, ranting about outrageous pack prices for TS4 and referring to EA as "greedy" or "cash grab" while others say "That's how it is right now". I don't even know everything about how the economy works, but are EA or Maxis tagging those eye-watering prices on purpose just to get richer or to get away with economic struggle (EA and Maxis are already major companies as I'm writing this), or are they selling it fairly because that's how the economy works? To add on that, The Sims 4's base game is free to play for two years at this point, but people who PAID for the game for an outrageous $40 (added with packs) are also expressing frustration with EA due to the added price (also calling it a "waste of money"). I just want to ask, what's with the move of a game previously paid turning into free? Sure, this would make more people download (not buy) it without charge or at least get it with a pack or a bundle (maybe everything) minus the extra $40, but are you sure this is a good idea? A newcomer in 2020 would spend around ~$110 with one each, but a newcomer today would spend ~$70 (minus the kits). EA could have compensated those players of the past 8 years before it got free if they wanted players to be satisfied. Players including myself hadn't initially been satisfied with the gameplay in the base game pack and mod-free (obviously that's the most common disadvantage of an F2P game), so I had decided to add some mods, but somehow, no effect. Even with nearly 10 years of modding as I'm writing this, players are still unsatisfied. EA or Maxis should have expanded more on some gameplay aspects in the game not just on packs, but on base game. EA or Maxis, even if The Sims is going downhill quickly, please put effort into at least a small feature that would make the game more interesting, instead of torturing players and destroying The Sims. If enough players don't become satisfied enough or criticize too much with The Sims, not just 4, but as a whole, they will not download the game and buy the packs. Their complaints would gain even more attention, and if the conditions are just right (for example: no Mod support, no free gameplay improvement alongside CAS, and complaining about it as a famous content creator), they would not buy the packs. They would then criticize with the game or try it out and still get unsatisfied, which then causes a loophole. If this continues without great improvement, everyone won't possibly play it. Which might be impossible to think since TS4 surpassed all other The Sims installations on the sales or users, and even other EA games. But it would pile up, and then eventually, everyone hates The Sims more than everyone who likes it. I don't want to make it too long so I'll just end it here. But EA, if you're seeing this, I need you to improve the gameplay (not just CAS or Build Mode items) at least on a smaller scale, because this would eventually happen. End of rant.
