@Stacey389 @FireyLuna EA made a Sims Online for PC, a game that was active between 2002 and 2008. It was shutdown, as the game failed to generate revenues and the number of players dropped yearly. Other attempts were made, but they tanked as well.
The Sims Mobile (a mobile game, which requires a powerful smartphone or tablet - the list for the supported phones is available in The Sims boards) is the closest that you get to the now defunct Sims Online.
@Cykowolf06 Nope, there's no multiplayer aspect to Sims 4, and no way to join a friend's game. The best you can do is chat while playing, and maybe upload sims to the Gallery for each other to download and play with separately.
- @ivrognard im a PS4 player, my friends and I want to play on online but on PS4, it would be funner to play with friends in a house hold.
Make Online Game, i refuse to spend any money on this game till i can play with my friends and more detailed.

If you really want for your friends to watch you play you can record it and put it on Youtube. The benefit would be that they could watch it when they had the time.
@2tf3v2h9hb7c I think Sims 4 might possibly be a little far along it's life cycle now to make such a fundamental change but I have seen hints of it for Sims 5. There's a link here to the Project Rene (Sims 5) forum where ideas and suggestions are being taken while the next stage of the Sims franchise is still in development.

But if you're on PC I've seen a multiplayer Mod mentioned so if that's an option for you, you could look that up on your browser as I don't think we're supposed to link them here. I don't know much about it but I do remember seeing mentions of it when reading gaming articles online.
I personally wouldn't like multiplayer, I didn't use it in Sims Freeplay and missed out on some things and it annoys me it's in Animal Crossing New Horizons and again I'm missing out on some items because I won't use it.
So if it's added to any game at all or is a feature of any new game I think it's important to make it optional without any content being tied to it so it's fair to players who like multiplayer and those who prefer single player. But I do know someone who has lost interest in Sims a little because she prefers multiplayer too. So maybe Sims 5 will cater to everyone.
Good luck with your request!
