Regarding Grim Reaper Career and Family Tree Issues

Dear EA/Maxis Team,

I’ve been playing a long-term Legacy save with a strong focus on storytelling and family tree development.

Unfortunately, I recently discovered that interactions related to the Grim Reaper career or soul reaping cause severe disruptions to the family tree.

When a Sim is "reaped" or "passed on," they appear to be completely deleted from the game — including their Sim ID and all relationship data. As a result, entire branches of the family tree vanish, even when living descendants still exist.

I do not use CC or Mods.

This mechanic is neither transparent nor reversible and essentially breaks Legacy-style gameplay, which is a core playstyle for many long-term players.

I kindly ask you to consider:

Whether it's truly necessary to fully delete reaped Sims from the game

Whether it’s possible to preserve their family tree connections after reaping

And whether the game could at least warn players before this irreversible action is taken

I would deeply appreciate it if this issue could be reviewed for a future update or patch. Preserving family histories and generational dynamics is a key part of The Sims 4 experience for many of us.
