    @veepersjeepers The problem you’re having is that even though a lot of people reported this update as “polyamory” it’s really not - the relationship settings aren’t about how many people are in the relationship, they’re just about how open the relationship is. So you can use that to play a polyamory story by setting your sims to have open relationships and pretending, but the game is still assuming relationships consist of 2 people and so the loyal and jealous traits act accordingly when used.

@veepersjeepers To be honest, I'm happy that they made adjustments for certain traits, so that not all Sims feel the same in open relationships (I think it is similar for jealous Sims). Otherwise their character traits would just be meaningless.

I don't understand what you mean with your second comment. I don't think Sims will autonomously join your throuple just because the Sims have open boundaries. They might ask maybe, but you can always say no as a player, same as with closed relationships.

sure, but if they're in an established relationship, shouldn't the loyalty be to that relationship, regardless of how many partners? that would be the point of trying to make it a closed throuple/polycule. if they started going behind those partners backs, THAT would be disloyal.
