I am agnostic and I think CAS/BB to represent any/multiple religions (cultures) even if it is just implied shouldn't be issue (as long as any gameplay features are generic "spiritualty" or "superstition", and only can be construed as a specific religious practice is if customized/roleplayed by the individual player/simmer). So that, as always, it is up to the player, and not forced upon other players/simmers. Just as anything else the level of inclusion and diversity is/should be up to a player/simmer.
Personally, in Sims 3, I made my own Gothic Catholic inspired church for graveyard lot. If this is possible in Sims 3, then at least a level of this should be possible for a player to recreate/create in Sims 4.
