"Research Stocks" daily task stops at 75%

Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? any
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Almost all apart from Vampires, Werewolves, Magic and Strangerville
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Get promoted a few times in Business career, Research Stocks on a computer until the Sim stops, look at the Career tab, see that its 75%
What happens when the bug occurs? researching stocks is not 100% complete after fully done
What do you expect to see? I expect to see "research stocks" at 100%
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods?  Yes but it also happens without any mods or CC
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

So this is basically a copy-paste from another thread that got markes as solved, even though there was no explanation, solution or bypass presented. the mods just said "no thats how its meant to be" and closed it, even when i asked for more info. I am also pretty sure they forgot to link to the pages they were talking about when they said "here". "Here" where?

The post got marked as "by design" yet the mechanic still makes no sense and is, in every way i can see, unintended, as no other mechanic in the game works like this.

So, why is it this way, and if there are no reasons, when is it getting solved? Been a few years now.
