You can repair dumpster furniture with the furniture restoration thing that came with Eco Lifestyle, you can get it from debug by placing it on a sale table first, so you don't have to join the career for it. Also, if you have cats and dogs EP, the cats scratch furniture and walls and will leave marks on them. I think it would be nice if furniture and appliances would get a shabby look over time, not necessarily broken and unusable, just well worn and used look.
