Wishing the Instruments sounded different

I have been playing Sims 4 for about 8 years now and have always wished that the instruments had different tones and sounds. For example, all the guitars have an acoustic sound even though they look electric. The same goes for the pianos; they all sound the same. I just think it would be so much more immersive and fun if they had different sounds! Also, an expanded playable song list would be cool, too. I have had musician sims in the past and always wished there was more incentive to collect the different instruments. Not to mention the option for sims to play together or create bands! I would be over the moon to buy a game pack or expansion pack that added those features. Though the different sounds for the instruments should be in the base game. Side note, more instruments would also be amazing! Maybe brass instruments (trumpet, trombone, etc.), wind instruments (flute, claranet), more string instruments (harp, cello, etc.) , and percussion instruments (drums, bongos, etc.) just to name a few! I think it would be awesome to be able to create an actual afterschool orchestra or famous rock band. Hopeful for the future if this becomes a possibility!

  • I really wish we'd get electric guitars again. In Sims 2, sims with a guitar where cool, they could really rock. In Sims 4 they just seem lame playing a guitar.

  • I think the pianos could use a little tuning! The sound quality leaves a bit to be desired. Perhaps the quality could improve depending on the price of the piano. I'd also like to see electric guitar sounds and more instruments added.

^^ Yes! Exactly what I am saying!! Also, additionally a piano tuner freelance career or even an instrument craftsman career would be a nice tie in!

DID YOU KNOW? That in Sims 2 Sims could tune their pianos and guitars the tuning improved the Handiness Skill. When it gets down to it many of the things people miss about Sims 2 are the little details.

If I had my way I'd do this in Sims 4 for "the little things"

    • I'd bring back tuning for Guitars, Pianos and Violins
    • Electric Guitars would sound like Electric Guitars and Acoustic sound like Acoustic
    • I'd bring back Doorbells & Chime Options similar to Sims 2 and probably expand upon those choices with chimes featured on the Ring Camera and Vivant Security. They have fun sound effects and Chime tunes
    • I'd bring back Winding Grandfather  Clocks & Cuckoos, I'd give a choice of chimes based on real traditional chimes
    • I'd add decorative Pipes for walls to go with the Pipe Organ so that people could make a pretty credible Phantom of the Opera Theatre
    • I'd make Sheet Music Updates a thing and I'd Add these famous tunes
      • Toccata & Fugue in D Minor - For Pipe Organ
      • Funeral March by Chopin for Piano
      • Dance Macabre for the Violin
      • The Devils Trill for the Violin
    • I'd add holiday lighting to all the topiaries
    • I'd add new holiday lighting colors for other types of holidays and family events
    • It's high time we got musical groups back in the game so I'd add Cello, Drums, and Harp
    • We need few more Christmas Caroles get the Simlish treatment so that we can have proper Caroling. I suggest Good King Wenceslaus be the first
    • I would add these Radio Stations more as mood music for other activities
      • Amusement Park/Carnival Music
      • Fortune Tellier Caravan Music
      • French like in Sims 3
      • Rockabilly
      • Zydeco
