I used to work for a bakery years ago called Prima Dolce!
It was a very authentic place. The pasta was made from scratch using a simple table top pasta sheeter and they sold hot roasted chestnuts during the winter season outside.
I made this everyday using a tiny dough press to make thin strips of dough. I then formed them into a circle and filled the circle with sweet ricotta filling and then folded it over to shape like a clam and baked it off! It was so much fun!
Sfogliatelle
Miataplay
What a lovely name for a bakery—and such a beautiful story…
It made me imagine seashells resting on the shores of your treasured memories.
It’s so precious, I feel like the Grim Reaper might show up to take me away…
By the way, ChatGPT is currently shouting “Isn’t it Sfogliatella?!?!”
Very lively. I approve.

It can be spelled both ways correctly: Sfogliatelle aka...Sfogliatella.
I always mess up French and Italian words but I'm pretty sure these spellings are correct...or I get a plate of spaghetti in the face!
🍝😮🙂

Lol, both spellings are OK, Sfogliatelle is the plural for Sfogliatella. 😁 One would think ChatGPT would know that, I knew that and I don't speak Italian. Or maybe it was thinking Sfogliatelle is too much. 😁
