Simple Living Lot Trait – No Option to Choose Serving Size

What I expected to happen: 

When using the Simply Living trait, I expected to see all serving size options (Single, Family, Party) and a full ingredients list for all servings, even if I don't yet have any ingredients. 

What actually happens: 

If I have no ingredients, the cook menu only shows one serving sizes (Single) and doesn't display what ingredients are missing. This makes it hard for me to order ingredients to cook a meal. 

But once I have enough ingredients for a single serving, the game suddenly displays Family/Party size options and clearly indicates the missing items. 

Expected improvements: 

Even if I don't have any ingredients, the cooking menu shows: 

All serving size options, ingredients 

Display a complete ingredients checklist with missing items
