Sims 4 Base Game Update Suggestions Ideas!
Here are a few ideas that I would like to see officially added to the Sims 4 Base game. I know that some of the things I mention you can get mods for but I play on console, so I don't have the option to download them.
Interaction: Asking Sim if they have children.
There have been many times where I'm playing a young adult sim who goes on several dates, you hit it off, ask them to be your boyfriend / girlfriend and you wish to take it to the next level and ask them to move in only to find out the other sim has 3 children!! Which is not a problem but most times I'm living in a one bedroom house or apartment. So I have to cancel the move and then move to a larger lot if possible depending on the money situation or, what if my sim has the "Hate Children" trait, that's not a good situation. So it would be great to know this in advance. It would work like the "Ask If Single" interaction, no or heres a list with names and age stage. Also this interaction would be great for a new parent(s). Meeting new sims and getting to know them and finding out they have a toddler and you have a toddler, excellent now I can do playdates and hangout with other parents.
Interaction: Asking Sims where they live.
I know this may be a odd one but we meet so many sims throughout our life and some of them become good or best friends, so it would be nice to know where they live so instead of always inviting them to my house, we can visit and hangout with them or learn that they're "not from around here", meaning they live in none of the worlds. I have spent so much time going from world to world, house to house trying to find where someone lives only to learn that they don't exist in any of them.
Send Alone Option:
For me when I'm playing the Sims I mainly focus on my prime sim not to say I ignore the other sims, I just don't focus heavily on the them but when your spouse/ child's friend calls and they what to do something we only have three options, Yes, ok, bring other sims or cancel and I usually cancel because I'm focused on my prime sim and I don't want to follow the other sims, so it would be nice to have a fourth option and that's Send Alone. Request comes in and they go out and have fun.
Take Out Delivery (Phone Interaction):
The existing menu is very limited. More food options for different meal types, like breakfast, lunch and dinner. And please, please add birthday cakes!!!
I have had sims who hate cooking and they have kids and it's their birthday, I have to force the sim to bake a bday cake which usually comes out poor and/ or the sim is tense / angry and the other sims are sick from eating the cake So this option would help avoid that.
New Base Game Careers:
Would love to see a few new base game careers added, either rabbit hole or work from home like Baker, Firefighter, Nurse, Pharmacist, Telemarketer, Dancer or Comicbook / Manga artist via the digital sketchpad with the options of naming said works and self publish or send to publisher. If you do get a publisher then you have deadlines to produce new works.
Interest Interaction: TV / Book - Likes / Dislikes.
We have likes and dislikes for music, fashion, home decor, etc. interest but not for television shows or for the various in game books genres. I think this would add another layer to our sims, plus add to the compatibility system.
New TV channels:
Would be great to have more options for TV shows. Maybe, fantasy, sci-fi, docs, true crime, cartoons, mystery, a reality show and more channels that help with skill building. Maybe a Garden Network to help with the garden skill, a science channel to help with logic skill , Outdoor channel for fishing skill, etc.
