Hey all! I absolutely love taking my sims to community lots to hang out and meet new people - but one lot that I can't seem to get much use out of is the Museum lot - which is sad because I love museums! I feel like all of the museum lots across all sims games (2-4) are pretty much unusable and most people I know just delete them and build something else entirely. I would love to see a pack that breaths some life into museums! A history museum, modern art museum, and natural history/science museum would be awesome - Maybe we could have a small world like the business world where there are limited lots - the Simsonian (since Jungle Adventures references them). It would be cool to own and operate a museum, switch out items in collections for bonuses, send out archaeologists to rabbit holes to find artifacts/dinosaur bones/massive minerals/etc., throw fundraisers (thats what I used museums for in sims 3), plan self guided tours, operate gift shops, sell tickets, stop robberies, etc. It would also be an awesome way to bring some life into a lot that is otherwise usually overlooked. You can't tell me it wouldn't be awesome to watch sims react to simulated volcanic eruptions, ride space simulators, catch mummies or dinosaurs moving, etc.

Yeah, this is an awesome idea! I know there are some downloadable museums in the gallery, but... yeah. I think the City Living museum is the best. The Get Famous museum is.... on topic but not my favorite. The Willow Creek and Oasis Springs museums are.... forgettable. Er, TBH I mainly use the museums for either my painters with the painting aspiration, or (lol) my kleptomaniac Sims (rotfl).In real life, though, museums are one of my favorite things. When my sister and I visited New York we went to at least four in as many days.

My Super Sim is also doing collections, so I've set up a retail lot where we store all those collectables. At some point I might open it for business so my other Sims can finish their collections as well. But for now, I call it my "natural history museum."

Or a natural history museum, or a science or industry museum. Art is wonderful, but really just the tip of the iceberg as far as possibilities go.

I merged the museums into one mega museum in Del Sol Valley. I did leave the museums in Brindleton and San Myshuno alone because they were unique enough. There is enough clutter and art in the game that you can customize each museum in each world you have one. Even include art your sims made.

@GoDude202Yeah! I would love if my Sims could own a property other than retail & vet clinic. Right now, I have my Sims to open an Art Gallery (under a retail) where she can sell her paintings. Other than that, I hope that the Sims can also sell services like admission fee, consultation (for style influencer, or even a doctor - since they have unlock able items), or even a barber shop.

There is enough clutter and art in the game that you can customize each museum in each world you have one. Even include art your sims made.

We're in an era now where they are focusing on expanding on existing features. So a museum refresh could be a possibility.

I would like for EA to add a museum curator career, NPC master archaeologist, NPC master painter, and an NPC master potter for the upcoming pack. Then the museum curator could create exhibits by scouting art from NPC painters and potter and accepting artifacts from NPC archaeologists. EA would also need to update the build catalogue with various paintings and sculptures to match varies periods such as renaissance, baroque, etc.
