Sims 4 needs Robot making
How about robot-making for the mad scientist? Robots can clean, help cook, play with children, toddlers, babies, and help with the pets.

CarolPrice1963, Servo (aka robots) are part of Discover University EP. They can do much of what you mention. The scientist career is part of Get to Work EP. With a bit of imagination, and those two DLC packs, you could achieve your suggestion.
Robot-making comes with the Discover University expansion pack.
Edit: Prov21Simmer beat me to it. :)I know they are there I played with servo but it does not look like robot as in Sims 3.
Yeah, it was nice having both Simbots and Plumbots in Sims 3, both had their advantages and disadvantages. I kind of miss that.

There are also different bots that you can build in Discover University that all do different things like clean, water plants, get you food, repair things, and more. They're all attached to the robotics skill.
It's a pity the servo is such a huge step back compared to the plumbots of Sims 3. We should get more customisation from then than just their colour. Different heads and bodies.
They may not be the prefect thing you want, but it is the equivalent to what you were suggesting.
