Sims 4 Scenarios & Inconsistent Plotline

To start off, wow. I've been away from the forums for a while, because the last time I was here it was on the Sims forums, now it's EA forums. Anyway, back to my title, so I'm playing the "parents abducted by 👽 aliens " scenario & I get notifications outside of that, one in particular in relation to the Growing Together pack, where there's a notification from the parents about their children not visiting them, usually in reference to adult children. But in this case I'm dealing with a teenager & a child & the parents are supposed to have been abducted on an alien planet, so there shouldn't be much interference or presence from them. Anyway, just something I wanted to put out there. In case anyone has or had a similar issue.
