That is normal with high friendship. When friendship drops so does the number of calls/visits. You do not have to answer the phone or the door That people in the game wanders around should not surprise you.
@jpkarlsen No that's not normal I have played this game since it was out and I have the highest friendship and romantic relationship they didn't call constantly, or show up at my house constantly, it's even when my teen kid is at school right in the middle of school she calls and I don't answer but I still get a pop up like she wants to talk, or she wants to come over, or can they come over, I counted she called 3,4 times a day either calling to talk wanting to come over or go to her house. It might be the close family dynamic that might be buggy because my Sims aunt is too clingy.
If it is your own teenager or anybody ese in your current household calling that is definitely not normal as that would never happen in an un-modded game.
Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.- @jpkarlsen I don't use mods
It's most likely the close family dynamic I already reported it because calling 3,4 times and showing over and over even at midnight that's used to be a big way back it might be back with the close family dynamic.@Briana2526 if you think the phonecalls are excessive to the point that you feel this is a bug, there's an open bug thread here:
