Sims left at home not staying asleep while other sims are out.

Hello all

So I was wondering why it is that when you have sims in the same household go out, the sims left at home do not stay asleep?  I feel this is a massive miss in the game, as a an console player (xbox next gen) I have no mods so for me. If I want my sims to attend award ceremony,  go on a date, or even if I want to take my teens out for the night the sims that are left at home, like the infants or toddlers  if I hire a nanny or children  or even other adults left at home do not stay asleep, soon as I have gone with the out sims, I can see the sims at home all awake. I feel this is so pointless, it means as adults with children they can  never have date nights or just pop out for the night because I have to keep an eye on the infants or toddlers at home, levels or I could be in danger of having them took away.

I feel this should be looked into some how as it seems like adults with children can never go out without them.

    They do not do anything that they are supposed to, or should do, when you're not actively there with them. They don't go to school or work or take care of their children. Like they don't feed them. I play different households in my game and it may be quite a while before I get back to one. And when the household loads I will see parents that didn't go to work, kids that are late for school. And one of my sims daughter's hadn't been fed in such a long while that the game gave a notification saying something like eating so much quick foods was not good for her and that she needed real meals. Something really close to that. 

    I don't care whether sims go out on a date or I am playing other households, my sims should be doing the basic things that they need to do and taking care of themselves and their kids. At the very least their academics, professions, health and hygiene should be frozen so that nothing suffers, until such time as I load back in. This has been a long time gripe of mine so I totally understand where you're coming from. You can make them care for themselves to some degree when you have the parents out on a date but not well enough.
