  1. I disagree completely about folder location. Allowing us to choose or move to another location is a standard nicety that is available during most software installation and doesn't cause any problems. The EA app even allows me to install games anywhere I want.
  2. Your solution doesn't work. The "Choose folders" functionality doesn't do what you think it does: it's for keeping folders on Onedrive but hiding them from your local PC. It's the complete opposite of what we need in this situation.

@hobyvh If we can change the location of the user generated content files, currently defaults to C\users\user\documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 then that would also fix the issue. I know you can set a Documents folder on another hard drive, but One Drive will grab that too so you would need to change the name of the documents folder to something else, like Mystuff or My docs or even Simstuff. This is the problem with cloud auto backups, they were made for work, not home.
