Sims with CC overrides not marked as CC on The Gallery

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.104.58.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except Batuu & Modern Menswear
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go into The Gallery and look at the most popular households. There's hundreds of examples.
What happens when the bug occurs? When you download one of these Sims using CC overrides, when you actually get them into your game they look nothing like how they've been pictured on The Gallery.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see Sims with no CC included
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

If players want to find Sims with CC included, they have the option to choose "Include Custom Content" and search for that. As of right now, searching for Sims that don't include custom content actually brings up hundreds of Sims with CC overrides, before you can get to households that don't have any CC. This is deceptive to other players and stops players from finding genuinely CC-free Sims.

Yes they are overrides and they look utterly disgusting once you open them in your cas or even worse put them in your game. It's not just the pose. In the meantime, my no cc builds are tagged as modded because I have my sims' in-game, non-modded taken pictures on the walls. LOL. This is so frustrating.

Actually you are wrong. It is not only the thumbnail. If you look better you will notice a lot of eyes or hair in the screenshoots are not the in game ones. And I am pretty sure it is the same for other stuff like skin details etc. It is actually a current issue on the gallery where cc households are not flagged at all and spamming the popular page. Probably the user did it on purpose (with overrides or something).

  • @lostinsophie This is a matter of the portrait/poses which is currently not marking the upload as cc. The Sims itself doesn't have any cc.

I do agree that they should mark as cc when they use custom portraits (as should lots created with TOOL) but it's not a bug.

Moving this to GD for discussion.
