Stop making us pay for Food Stalls

Food stalls and other vending stalls:

While I agree it is only fair to pay for them when using them on home lots, we quickly loose the realism when we attempt to create our own lots that house various vendors and food stalls on community lots.

It is not a Simoleon issue, as I am aware Sims can acquire this quickly in the game. It is a matter of principle. Like in real life, if we go to a fair ground where there are a lot of vendors, we should not have to pay for these vendors to show up. It is the same with our games.

While I realize EA has made specialty lots which offers this for various seasonal occasions, we still should have the freedom to customize our lots to offer the same availability year-round.

For example, I created a fisherman's wharf for Sulani. It is a big pier with many different food vendors, and vendors who sell T-shirts, and offers live entertainment, a place for Sims to sell their collectables and paintings, etc. But to visit this pier each time, my sim must pay for each vendor to show up. This takes from the experience in a big way and is no longer fun nor found to be a truly functional community lot.

Please change this to making all vendors show up on all kinds of community lots. Thank you.

  • @wasikm007 this is one we've been asking for over the years. I resent having to hire stall vendors too, especially at my food courts. I think, as do many other players that they should all be staffed.

@simsplayer818 I know what you mean, as I too have seen so many posts over the years regarding this besides on these forums here. I know there are several Mods to take care of this for us... but I just don't like to use mods... unless if REALLY necessary. So, I hope this will finally get answered, especially since there are so many requests for this.
  • @wasikm007 Yeah absolutely. I'm playing on Xbox Series X so mods aren't available to me. So hopefully our request will be answered one day 🤞.
  • @wasikm007 Yes, I don’t understand why they don’t automatically populate on all community lots!

For now I just make my sims hire them then cheat back the money, but it’s super annoying and a small quantity of life update I really wish they’d do.

@simsplayer818 Thank you. I never played these games on the Xbox series. I wasn't sure if you can get mods or Custom Content like you can with PC versions. Good to know.

@lucombre I don't understand either. Especially when I googled to see if I was doing something wrong in the way I was placing them on my lots. I was surprised to see how many blogs and postings there are about this and to learn it was intentionally designed this way???

What really makes me question is when EA says they are wanting to meet the needs of the players??? Ok.... umm... ??? Huh?? So why are so many important requests or fixes after all these years still not being answered? Why did EA wait all these years later before building a team to take care of these long over due fixes? That should have been done since day one. The money EA makes… trust me… they can afford it. As of 2023 EA’s revenue is over Seven Billion US Dollars.

I sincerely hope we are all going to be taken more seriously by EA. Otherwise people will realize… it’s not going to change, get frustrated and move on as I have read quite a number of people already have done. EA needs to remember there are other competitors who are already stepping in and stepping up. What they promise to deliver could leave Sims 4/project Rene in the dust.... as they have listened to our complaints and wishes for these games. All I know… it is drawing more and more attention away from Sims 4 to give these a try. I've read on forums outside of here where many Sims players are ready to switch over. I'm still all for Sims 4.... so far… provided, they answer our request and take care of all these long-awaited fixes.

  • I would like to be able to choose whether a counter or food stand is always manned. Maybe there could be two versions in the build menu - a decorative object and one in operation. It would be okay if the staff only appeared when I entered a lot or when there were opening times. That would bring so much more life into the game. I would like all counters (bars, cafeteria counters, bubble tea counters, food stands, etc.) to be manned when I select it.

@Enna2024Juney I agree. If I can activate or disable an emotional effect on certain objects, then I should be able to enable a sim to spawn with the counters/carts. I wouldn't even care if they put a limit to how many can be on a lot since the game has spaghetti code so filling a lot with nothing but carts and counters would crash the game. I think between 4 and 6 would be a good number to use

Yeah this is beyond me why we should pay for the food stalls npc's to show up and also always be the one who is hosting an event, birthday parties and weddings and heaven knows what.. It would be so nice to be invited as for a change but no even when somebody calls your sim and invites you for a dinner to celebrate your sims promotion is working because it always ends up with  that your sim the one who is paying for that dinner in the final end..i would like to remove that tiny mod folder i have that is helping my sims to get invite for funsies and get spoiled a bit and just lean on the game but right now that is not an option.

I fear the team will be stuck with Sims 4 forever all thanks it lacks so many things we got spoiled with having in the earlier Sim expansions.🕹️

    I support this 🧙
