Boarding school lot types would be so much fun! Like child and teen sims can stay at schools and have dorms, school grounds, and even have riding, outdoor painting, and woodwork lessons. Maybe set in a world like Henford on Bageley, or granite falls, with forests and hills around where sims can go trekking, picnics, or school camps. There might be two schools on different ends of the map, and some village squares where sims can go on weekends, like with permission slips. On vacations they can go back to their parents. Also number of sims should be increased in these schools, than average high schools.
School games between rival schools, fests, annual days, and many more celebrations and competitions can be held! It also be really cool if sims could form chat groups with friends, and a particular group of sims could always stick together and not drift off.

I don't see the appeal. Sims can do all those activities while staying at home, they don't need boarding schools for that. Basically it would be like university, but for younger ages.

I would love this idea! I like to create my own boarding schools in my game where I send all of the wealthy sims children. But it would be fun to have a built in system!

When renovating the high school I believe there should be a settings panel where you can set if its a boarding school or not, the uniform with an option to not have a uniform, set the schedule and hire the staff.
When you play as Mei Prescott (the head teacher), she doesn't work at the school, I believe she "owns" the school and she can hire the staff and set the schedule.
She won't "own" the school like you would a retail store or a restaurant but she would run it. She wouldn't pay the bills for the school but the shool has separate funds.
