Suggestion for a Future The Sims 4 Update: Bring Back the Open World
Dear EA and The Sims Team,
I've been a longtime fan of The Sims series, and I'd like to share a suggestion for a future The Sims 4 update.
One of the features I miss the most is the open world from The Sims 3. It made the game feel alive, immersive, and connected. Sims could travel around town without constant loading screens, making everyday life feel much more natural. Watching Sims drive, walk, and interact throughout the neighborhood made the world feel like a real living community.
I hope you'll consider adding an open-world system to The Sims 4 through a future update, or at least introducing larger seamless neighborhoods with fewer loading screens. I believe this would make the game far more immersive, encourage exploration, create more spontaneous interactions between Sims, improve storytelling, and make neighborhoods feel truly alive.
As more life simulation games enter the market, many are embracing open-world gameplay because players enjoy the freedom and immersion it provides. Paralives is one example of a game taking this direction. The Sims has always been the leader of the life simulation genre, and I believe bringing back one of the series' most beloved features would help The Sims 4 continue to lead the genre.
Many players still consider The Sims 3's open world to be one of the greatest features in the franchise. Personally, I also feel that some of the console entries in the series never reached the same level of immersion as the main PC games, and I believe the lack of an open world was one factor that contributed to that.
Thank you for continuing to support The Sims 4. I truly appreciate the hard work your team puts into the game, and I hope you'll consider bringing back the open-world experience in a future update. I believe it would be one of the most exciting and meaningful improvements The Sims 4 could receive.
