I don't know about this idea.
Menopause needs to have periods in the first place (you can't stop something that never began).
If Perimenopausal phase is added then young adult male sim would also need this "Sexual Peak" phase.
But it could be "out-of-range" for a Teen rated game.
Sims getting pregnant automatically implies that there is menstruation - it is utterly ridiculous that adult Sims can get pregnant, have a baby, and then the next day age up to an elder. The elder dies within days, and the baby is an orphan. Ridiculous.
You give me the impression you have never once in your life personally experienced the reproductive cycle - do you think babies are planted in a sim like a seed by another sim? That is offensive TBH. Pregnancy isn't passive. What bitterness have you got against people with uteruses?

You can disable aging in game settings.

I love this feature! It allows me to age my sims slowly and gradually.
Newborn(ages 0-2months)
Infant(ages 3-11months)
Toddlers(ages 1-2years)
Preschoolers (ages 3-4 years)
School-aged child(ages 5-12 years)
Teens(ages 13-19 years)
By knowing this age group chart, I can then play my sims out and age them up when I'm ready...not because the game tells me to.
I love playing the game with aging off because I'm trying to play all my favorite households (270 sims) without anyone dying on me.
I got the death flower available in the floral department in my Wholefoods grocery store...just in case...🙂

I also play with aging off. Nobody ages up unless I want them to. 🙂

Aging has nothing to do with this. This is about Sims being able to get pregnant, then turn into an elder the next day, and die a few days later, leaving a newborn.
I like to turn on neighbourhood stories, I like Sims in the world to keep having new Sims to regenerate the world and keep their families going, when I keep my own sim family (or families if I play rotationally) going through different generations.
Ridiculous. Sims should no longer be able to get pregnant after the halfway point of the adult life stage.
The lack of understanding about how pregnancy works is quite astounding in the younger generation.- crocobaura9 months agoLegend
But why are your sims trying for a baby if you don't want them to get pregnant? There is the option for just woohoo, without the baby and you can set neighbourhood stories so they don't have babies. As for real life, women can and do get pregnant until they reach menopause. The fact that most women don't get pregnant in later life is because by that time most of them have already had all the babies they want and are no longer trying for another one. It's enough to look at families that don't practice contraception to see that.
