@angelboi7531 I'm sure pack sizes do differ between platforms, but it's hard to believe that all the content of a 264 MB stuff packs would fit into 10.1 MB on a console. The same goes for the most recent two kits, which are 60 and 115 MB in macOS. There's only so much the assets can be reduced, and scripted gameplay is even more difficult to compress.
It's even more difficult to believe that multiple packs and kits would all be exactly 10.1 MB. The statistical likelihood seems extremely low that they would be of equal size no matter what that size was. So I stand by my theory that this is simply a reporting error.

I am downloading crystal creations at this very moment and it's 269 MB. That's on a windows PC.
- 2 years ago@atreya33 Cool. The Sims 4 is a great game but what's with the new shopping cart feature? I already own all of it, what's next ads in game? lol. Still an awesome game!

Still an awesome game!Luckily I was spared from the cart, for now. I bought the pack through the EA app. The info of the file size was shown in the EA app while installing. I used that time to download updates for my mods.

@angelboi7531You can just take a photo with a phone or tablet then attach it to your post. That's how I do it with images from my Xbox.
Edit: I took an image of the Crystal Creations file size and it's 10.1mb. But as I mentioned earlier, in reality the size is relative to how many items you end up creating with it in your game.
- 2 years ago@simsplayer818 Thank you for laying that to rest for me. I knew that I wasn't making it up. I just don't want essential packs to get smaller. I am a big fan of the Sims period. The Sims 1 through 4. I'll be playing The Sims 5 too, I just hope it will be on console. But honestly, to tell you the truth. I feel that The Sims 4's life is being stretched out. I'm ready for The Sims 5 on my Xbox Series S. Or at least like some existing games, a Xbox Series S version of The Sims 4. Like Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S or PS4 and PS5 Versions of the same game. They should make on upgrade.

@angelboi7531rest assured nobody would suggest you were making it up. It is a very surprising file size indeed. I downloaded it twice to be absolutely certain because I wondered if there was an issue somewhere. It's next to courtyard oasis which looks huge by comparison and it's the same size as some kits. I looked at it and thought "that can't be right". But a second download confirmed it. I'm also baffled when compared with the size of the PC version.
But, with that said file size is not our friend on console. The smaller the better to prevent stability issues according to Microsoft support. They told me that the size of packs on the Sims can be a trigger for crashes. So if we can have this great pack in a smaller file size that's great. With over 1000 items included it's enormous in practice. So still great value for me. I've been creating jewellery for days and barely scratched the surface of what we can create. I'm going to need a second jewellery store to sell it all!
With Sims 5 I think we might have a wait on console but hopefully not too long although I'm not ready to wrap up Sims 4 yet I do have a slight concern about how much more we can fit into the console version in terms of processing power. The console can only handle so much.
The Sims 5 board is here if you haven't yet got involved:
