Things aren't linking right...

Not sure if it's because of the update or because I added the new kits to my inventory, but playing the game today I noticed that while in CAS I was attempting to change my sim's last name because she just got married and the name that appeared wasn't hers, it was her father's...? Odd. I had to close out of CAS and try again. 

Another issue I noticed was that my sims who got married were in two separate households. Once they got married, they moved in with each other, however on the Milestones section, one shows they got married while the other one doesn't. Yet when I open their relationship profiles it shows "spouse". Are milestones not linking with each other?
