I'm just here to say that the Vampires & Werewolves are the best versions in the Sims 4 than they have ever been, I find Sims 3 Supernatural more fun. Here is just my issues and wishes on either game for their creatures
- The Spellcasters - I cringe just saying that. They're witches
- Calling them "Spellcasters" aren't going to get the certain types to buy the pack. They are against anything they deem occult except the superstitions they believe in. So just call them what you've called them before, Witches.
- While I love that they can duel everywhere in Sims 4. I would have loved them being able to duel any creature that wields any form of magic. Can you imagine Witch vs Vampire or Fairy?
- Potions are apart of the Spellcaster power set in Sims 4. Alchemy in Sims 3 was separate and I liked that better. Witches could excel in alchemy faster than any other creature with Vampires being second.
- Sims 4 familiars had very little going on with them I wish we could have had a bit more to play with them. We can't really interact with them. One would think that you would need to improve your relationship with a familiar to have access to their abilities.
- Sims 2 had alignments and that added some dimension, it even affected the familiars how cool would it have been that only certain familiars could be obtained depending on your alignment. Also we purchased our familiars for the most part in Sims 4. I feel like we should have had to earn them.
- Sims 3 had a Magic Store, I prefer that. I'm tired of the kiosks mostly
- I like the Spellcaster Power Tiers but Vampires did it better. But I feel like the Spells would have been better if they had more offensive/Defensive spells. I feel like Supernatural gave spells to the witches which countered certain other creatures. The spells in ROM are all separate because they were made separately.
- The Werewolves
- They looked like Furries and cat furries mostly. Oh and the heads looked so small in comparison to the body
- I wish we could have done more to look more scary. Maybe elongated ears and snouts. Longer talons more of a haunched back. We needed more options for "The Howling" than the Furry Convention. Nobody is looking for monstrous just a bit more intimidating.
- I liked the look of the town but there just isn't a ton to do there. It's an old lumber town and we can't even chop wood there. This would have been a perfect world to have added:
- Update to Wood Working
- Chopping Wood
- The Log Roller
- Axe Throwing
- Arm Wrestling
- NPC Animals
- We didn't get any NPC animals no deer, no wolves, heck no Screech owls. Missed Opportunities
- I did absolutely LOVE the red glow of the Werewolf bite. The transition and tiered powers are both fantastic.
- The Fortune Teller would have been perfect in this pack. She is featured so many times in older horror films especially in Werewolf Films.
- Vampires
- Eclipsing Fog from Sims 3 should have made its way to being a power in the highest tier.
- Vampires should abhor silver. That is lore accurate and in many films.
- White horses should detect Vampires all white or all black horse were usually used to detect vampires in their graves.
- Forgotten Hollow should have gotten a cemetery too when Life & Death was introduced
- Vampire should have been able to befriend bats and there should have been a Bat House introduced
