Tub Vs. Shower

Just a few moments ago I read in another post here where fellow simmers were getting frustrated with their sims always choosing the tub over a shower when hygiene is selected or the auto solve function for getting clean is selected. Instead of going to the nearest source, they will go out of their way to use the tub instead of the shower which was closer by.

In fairness, I can see both sides of the coin with this one. When we think about this more... "realistically," some people prefer baths, as it can offer more comfort and enjoyment... especially when soaking with bubble baths, essential oils/herbs, or mud. while others prefer a quick wash in a shower... especially with a showerhead that can produce a "rainfall" type of effect, which to some can be found soothing and release sore muscle tension. To each their own. 

Yet, I agree... these plumbing devices should each be preferred based on a Sim's personality trait, mood, or other preferences... not be designed to just automatically go for the tub each time.

Is there any way EA can change this up a bit or at least have the Sim choose the closest plumbing to take care of these needs to save some time?
