In yesterday's news video we were promised to have baby hairs added to some hairstyles. Please sims team, make them a separate option not a replacement. They are great for people who like baby hairs but not everyone likes that look. Please allow us to keep the old ones as well.
This will likely be the case anyway. The additional colors they added for a few hairstyles back in April '24 are separate from the originals, and I don't see why these won't be, either.
The video said 'update' so I assume they will be replaced. It wouldn't be the first time that an existing hair is replaced. I hope you are right.
I never quite got the point of these babyhairs? I never use them, and they don't feel like Maxis match to me. They just don't match with the general graphical feel of my sims. I don't like the idea of clogging up my cas with alternative hairstyles to include babyhair that I will never use. Wish they would rather be separate DLC.
Yes thank you for voicing this out! 💛 I really like two of the old hair styles as they are now (without baby hairs). I would be really sad if the current versions were removed from the game.
Slightly modifying base game items and putting them behind a paywall would be extremely low, even for EA. You'd be better off figuring out how to make overrides that hide items you don't like.
They did say VERSIONS not replacements or refreshes
