Vampires pack sucks??
I spent twenty dollars on a pack for the only reason to have sharp teeth and pointed ears, and now I can't use them unless my sim is actively a vampire?? Plus, there are NINE whole eye colours locke...

As @LadyAofPineapple pointed out, there is absolutely a way to turn your existing Sims into vampires! Either go to one of the houses with existing vampires (Vlad or the Vatores), or wait for one of them to show up at your door.
Aside: Caleb and Lilith Vatore are unlikely to actually bite. Caleb even has the Good Vampire aspiration. Vlad does invade your house, but if he knocks, he’s just being friendly. I joke to my friend that it’s because Vlad literally has no fun items in his house: no tv or stereo, no computer, no books… Caleb and Lilith at least have books and chess. So they’re all bored and want to borrow YOUR tv/computer/game pad/etc. (Actually, they want to give you the chance to befriend a vampire.)
Befriend any of the existing vampires. Vlad in particular is likely to offer to make your Sim a vampire if he really likes them, or you can ask any vampire in your save to make your Sim a vampire. (Vlad will mentor any vampire turned in game via popup, and it’s recommended to keep the relationship going so you can level up more easily.)
It’s not instantaneous, but your Sim will absolutely become a vampire.
[Edit: There are also cheats to instantly make your Sim a vampire, and if you use the cas.fulleditmode cheat you can change your Sim’s “human” form as well.]
