Why is pottery excluded as an employee task?

Is there a reason why even though we can make doing pottery something sims can do at a small business, we cannot actually assign an employee to make pottery? You can assign employees tasks like tending a tattoo table, tending a bar, or making candy, but there's no option to assign an employee to make pottery. It's very weird. It'd be great if they could update this.
