Why wont my townies stop wearing randomized outfits?

Is there anyway to make my makeover townies to stop wearing randomized outfits that I did not make them? P.s I play on Playstation...(unfortunately)

  • These are called Situation outfits. Rainwear is a "Situation" outfit. Clothes for certain festivals. Etc.

Lots of situation outfits are purely randomized and some are poorly randomized. Rain for instance can be basically any clothing, instead of logically being limited only to clothing that makes sense for rainy/windy weather- because there aren't any tags for those things, so no clothes know they make sense for those things, so the outfit filter for them can't limit to only those things.

On console, there is literally nothing you can do. You cannot control situation outfits.

The situational outfits are by design. Unfortunately, even with mods on PC sometimes the situational outfits still happen.

  • Not on console, I assume one could reinstall the game and choose to not download some packs that features some of the worst situational outfits.

    Seasons - Rain Outfits
    City Living - Festival Outfits
Vampires - Fake vampire sims that walk on the street

There was also a note in the recent patch notes that they might be looking into improving the way the game generates outfits.
