@simsplayer818 - No, it's a universal effect, but the maintenance is pretty easy and there are 3 upright vacuums at different price points, plus 2 handheld vacs. Every few days each storey of the house gets dusty depending on how heavily it's used. With a vacuum cleaner in the Sim's inventory, you click a spot, and after a few in-game minutes of running it, the whole level is cleared of dust and any dust bunnies you haven't befriended. It's not a high maintenance thing at all. The vacuums can also be upgraded with various features like never needing to be emptied, and butlers and maids will also sweep for you. Even if you don't have a cleaner, you can still pick up and throw away dust piles and stomp bunnies, and all that will be left is a faint layer of dust. Dust accumulation can also be turned off in the options settings if you want a break from it.
Side note: I only ever played Bustin' Out on GameCube and GBA but what was awesome was they could be linked via cable and you could port your GameCube character into the GBA version, have a whole different adventure, and any Skill Points you gained in the GBA version would stay with the Sim when you ported them back. Great for Skill grinding to make Careers easier in the main game.
