Hi! So I renamed the file. And it popped up into my "load game" area. However I'm not able to play it due to it saying "save slot corrupted, unable to load." Any ideas? I did copy and paste my original file to another folder in case I needed to.

Was that the only file that was in the scratch folder at the time ? It's possible that this is just not the complete save, hence it doesn't work. It was worth a try though.
Have you ever used oneDrive ? Maybe there's still a file in that folder if you're lucky ?
Otherwise, I'm afraid there's nothing you can do. Only option would be an older backup you maybe have somewhere and continue from there.
My advise: Save in circles. So have 3 or 4 save games for the same game so you have a backup if you accidentally delete one. Also make regular backups to an external drive. Especially before patches.
- 8 years agoThanks! I will try looking for it in oneDrive. There were other files in the scratch folder, but that was the only one that said save. The rest started with "zone". When I moved that save file into my "saves" folder, the scratch file disappeared on its own.
