Aging Up issue

Couple of issues I’ve noticed on console lately. My sims won’t woohoo at all, they have high relationship, and the option is there, they talk about doing it and then don’t do it. 
second issue is when my infant ages up, he suddenly goes from toddler, to child, to teen, to young adult to adult in about 5 seconds! He’s now older than his parents! 

my sim also won’t go to university, she just refuses to go! 

had to close down the came, can’t play it whilst it’s like this at the moment!
