Alice's Sorrow Broken?
I am playing through the mission, and I can get through everything but "Find Edith" her friendship bar with my sim is basically full and she stays angry, and I still cannot ask about Alice's sorrow. ...

are you doing the quest with more than one Sim in the household (aka, two Sims trying to finish Alice Quest at the same time) ?
It's just that one Sim in the household aside from her 2 pets
Did you never use mods/cc or remove them ?
Did you befriend Edit before or after you did the quest ?
No I have never used mods or cc and my sim had never interacted with her before I initially started the quest. I did to abandon it and restart it - but I get the same error. I have also tried to repair the game through the EA application and that didn't help either.
