All my sims get born with the same hair color

It’s been like this for five generations in a row now. Every single time my sims have a baby and I age it up it’s the same hair color (that one light brown) and of course then later passes it on to their children and so on. No matter what hair color the other parent has. So basically, I only have one hair color in my whole legacy right now.
Is that a bug? Can I do anything against it? I don’t want to change the hair color manually, I just want the genetics to change I guess.

Hi Lalauri89, I think it takes the hair colour of sim zero (the first sim you started the legacy with) maybe its because that's the strongest genetic hair colour in the family tree as they're all related biologically. I'm assuming if you started your legacy with a male sim all their generations would have his hair colour and if you started with a female sim, all their babies would inherit their mums hair colour. My sim zero had black hair and all her generations since have all got black hair regardless of their father's hair colour.

HeyRheaFallout ! Thanks for your reply. Should’ve said that I’m on generation… i don’t know - fourty? Something like that. So i had plenty of different hair colors through the sim years. My very first sim had black hair (I remember that). The „hair problem“ started about 4 or 5 generations ago.

I know what you mean about the genes you'd expect maybe dark blonde hair or a light brown from a black haired and a brown haired parent. Did you science baby any of them? I noticed on my 26 gen save I have got a few brown haired sims, then I science babied one and it was born with black hair like my sim zero, there's definitely a bug of sorts with with that genetic aspect.
