Computer A is a Win 10 machine with Avast. A nightmare with the gallery.
Computer B is a Win 8 machine with Avira. 90% of the time trouble-free.
Conclusion: Win 10 remains an adversary of good computing, and/or Avast is a horrible anti-virus to have onboard.
Did some rooting around on the Internet.
How to fix Sims 4 Gallery Not Working (https://www.partitionwizard.com/partitionmagic/sims-4-gallery-not-working.html)
I used Method 4, which worked for awhile. Haven't re-initiated the commands. Warning, they will reset your options in the game, like music (which I cannot stand).
Step 1: Press Win + S to open Windows Search utility and search for cmd. Then right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
Step 2: Type the following commands one by one and press Enter after each:
ipconfig/flushdns
ipconfig/registerdns
ipconfig/release
ipconfig/renew
netsh winsock reset
Then you can restart computer and run Sims again.
I tried Method 4, and there's no change.
I've also tried disabling Avast's Shields multiple times, including after doing the above, but there's no difference.
I'll add something that I haven't mentioned, which is that I'm running the game on a Windows 10 laptop, with an Intel Core i7-9750H, NVIDIA RTX 2060 6GB, and 16 GB RAM.
Edit: I forgot to say that I'm in the United States.

Hi everyone
I just tested and it's also still not connecting for me.
Don't think any troubleshooting is necessary currently as there's nothing you can do if the servers are down.

I'm having the same problem. Flushed dns, disabled antivirus, but still can't connect.
