@house12345678910Hello! Only some objects can be moved in live mode. These items can be clicked and dragged within the space or placed in your sims' inventories, such as the On the Spot and Show Your Stripes rugs. Some other examples include toddler potties, certain toddler beds, certain tents, and some Discover University decor. The idea there is that these items are considered "portable". You can tell which items are "portable" by hovering your mouse over the items. If the pointer changes to a hand, the item can be moved. However, the alt key does not work on these items. When you click to drag them, they will snap to the next available tile, although you can turn them using the < and > keys while holding the objects. Otherwise, you'll have to go into build/buy mode to move objects and use the alt key or the move objects cheat to place them outside the default positions.
No. You can only move the items that when you hover over them with the mouse, the cursor turns into a hand. Even then you can only move the object to slotted spots, or into a sims inventory. I’m not sure why you would need to move items in live mode? Just curious. It’s quite easy to switch into build/buy mode to adjust an item.
