Bug Issue

Good Afternoon,

I just wanted to give you an FYI on a possible bug issue.

I got this last exception notification and went to the discord server. It was recommended that I update you on this issue so you can gather data about this issue

Here is the respsonse from Discord for my Last Exemption file:

From Discord:

Last Module Called: resolver.py Last Function Called: get_participants Error message: Exception in Sim Timeline: Exception running Element (ValueError: Trying to use GlobalResolver with type that is not supported by GlobalResolver: ParticipantType.Object), CategoryID: resolver:37

This is a bug which started occurring in patch 1.89, which seems to have many causes even without mods installed. Things which can cause it include but are not limited to:

Interacting with certain objects, such as sack lunches, storage chests, and easels

NPCs interacting with a dumpster

Using a bubble blower

Certain outdated mods, especially if occurring in conjunction with Error Code 109

While this error seems to come out of nowhere and can get quite spammy, it does not seem to harm your Sims or your save file, if the issue is occurring without mods. If you are getting Error Code 109 or cannot load your save, you will have to perform a 50/50 to determine which mod is causing the problem.

What Can I Do? Unfortunately, we are not aware of any permanent solutions to this error at this time. If you have a dumpster or bubble blower on the active lot, consider selling it for now.

Please log onto the AHQ and report this error to EA, so that they can gather data about the cause.

I hope this helps you with your data collection for future updates. I also attached the last exemption txt file.

Kind Regards

Mystique

  • Please post the full error code you're getting as well as the full LastException (with no mods)

Delete all LastException files you currently have, then start the game and trigger the error and check for new files.

Copy/paste the entire content of the file.
