Building a lot for sims career

I'm downloading custom careers and I was wondering if building a lot centred around that career could make the sim redirect itself there when going to work?

For instance, a sim in the medical career goes to the hospital to work. Could I design a lot made for a custom career (or any career actually) and my sims would go there?

@YFMBThat actually sounds like an interesting idea.
So far as general game play is concerned I am not confident that a Sim would go to a particular lot without being directed.
Perhaps that would be the trade off. To set up a lot specific to a career for your Sim to visit to perform work related skill building or duties.
It certainly would save space on the home lot and keep bills in control.
Having other Sims as co-workers or as clients would be the next challenge.
If you figured out how to make it work I am sure a lot of players would be interested.

@jpkarlsen this does not concern any one mod in particular at all. Generally speaking, if I build a community lot that I would intent to use as a work place for my sims (like for instance a hospital for a doctor), is there any way to make my sims go there to work?

The Mod would have to support it as the game doesn't.
