There are handheld vacuums that you can use.
@OhGodItsDemi Hi! I don't have BTD because I just don't want to torture my sims any more than necessary. However, in addition to the handheld vac, as @jpkarlsen suggested, I wondered if you could add a solar panel or two just for cleaning. Either way, I do find it odd that a handheld vac should work off-grid and that there were no brooms or dusters added for the kit.

Maybe handheld vacuum will solve this issue, yet I find it still sort of sad, that having no electricity at home - you know, like the old way, somewhere far from "the world" I don't have an opportunity to clean home with pretty basic stuff.
