Can my Sim own more than 1 home?

With the For Rent pack, sims can own multiple residential rental homes, and let them out or live in one of them with their tenants themselves. This link explains about it

A third option: With Get to Work you can buy multiple “retail” lots.
I will sometimes make my Sim a live-in business on the retail lot, and then turn the “home” lot into a second vacation home for them.
If you don’t actually want your Sim to run a store, you could still buy as many retail lots as you want and as long as you hide a cash register in a closet or the basement or something to satisfy the retail lot requirement, there’s nothing saying you ever actually have to open as a store - you could just build a vacation home on each retail lot.
