Can't access lots/houses

I just started playing the Sims again after having stopped for a few months, and I tried to move a household I had made into a house so I could start playing. However, here comes the issue: I can't access the lots. To further explain, I can go to the different Worlds and such, but when I click on a house (even the ones they can afford) to move my household into, the game doesn't respond, it just simply stays on the same screen and doesn't do anything. It's not like my computer freezes, because I can still hover over lots and move my mouse, etc. It just doesn't let me actually click on a house to move into.

    @EJones77 Hi! Sorry to hear that ☹️
    Have you tried ( if applicable for cc / mods parts )
    Remove any mods / cc / tray to desktop
    Saves to desktop THEN:
    Delete thumbcache
    From the EA PANEL use REPAIR
    Start a clean game

    IF that is successful, add removed files back beginning with CC / mods ( 50/50 style ) then trays (Saves should be last so as not to corrupt with missing items )
    If game works then saves back and sim away! 🙂

    IF USING mods / cc make sure they are up to date!! 🙂
