Yeah, my Sim is a caster, but you can't Dedeathify a child and she hadn't done the Bestselling Author aspiration, so ambrosia it was.
Er. My personal rule is that if I run into a bug it's okay to cheat, so I fully planned to cheat the ghost trait off the kid if the ambrosia didn't work, but it did! That said, yes, if you're willing to cheat and have a ghost in your household, you can, yes, cheat the ghost trait off them and resurrect them that way.
P.S. I think it stinks that you can't Dedeathify a child. I can understand EA not wanting people do do "mean" spells to children, but....

I am of the same mind. I go through all the trouble of making the ambrosia, the LONG way. When it inevitably doesn't work, I then just cheat the trait off.
I don't mind using cheats at all to overcome a bug or FLAW in the game. As long as I'm faithful about going through the entire process to get there.

So, my vampire caught an angelfish in Forgotten Hollow tonight. I was looking to create plasma packs, but no, I bought an aquarium instead.
