Ok, so for my situation, I would say that I just was not choosing the proper gig. I had to wait 1 sim day after completing the previous gig before any "movie" options showed up. I chose the tournament of honor gig even though there was a few "movie" ones to chose from. I did my normal routine of completing the prep tasks, completing every on-set task available and got into hair and make-up as well as costume before talking to the director to start shooting scenes. And as she always has (she has never failed), she successfully performed "risky" on every shoot. She recieved gold and she completed the Master Actress/Actor aspiration!! Woot woot!
So for fellow simmers struggling, my first suggestion is to make sure you are choosing a "movie" gig. From what I gather they advertise to be a $6k+ pay out. My sim recieved $11,483.
You should look at the gig list before you select one. It will say something like Fitness Level 5 or Guitar Level 4. You MUST have at least that level before even attempting the gig, or else the chance of failures and not getting silver/gold is high.
What I usually do is click on the "Check for gigs" button and quickly bring up my skills panel before the gig list comes up. That way I can compare the gig list requirements with my current skills at the same time.
As long as you meet the basic requirement, the audition will always pass. Then just make sure to do the daily tasks BEFORE the gig. This will also reduce failures.
Once all daily tasks are gold, just wait for the gig to start. Once it does, do ALL job tasks, and all the "Risky" options and you'll get gold easy.

@PsychotpsThank you, and yes, everything you said is exactly what I was doing. My problem with completing the aspiration was that I was not being offered any "Movie" gigs, therefore, the ones I was chosing, I was taking my best guess that they could be movie gigs by reading the description of what was available for me. Once I made the decision to NOT choose, and to do some google research, I found a site where someone had finally taken the time to answer the question correctly for another player; which was that you must wait or refresh your list and eventually certain gigs titled "blah blah blah" (I can't remember them all, but I linked the site I found in a previous post.) will become available and those are the "Movie" gigs. My sim I am using is my PS4 trophy chaser. She is maxed in all but (I think) 5 skills. She never failed nor received less then gold on any of her gigs right from the start of her career as an actress.

What I usually do is use one of the two default agencies at the start (doesn't matter which), and then once I hit Fame level 3, I switch to the "Well Suited" agency. They offer a lot of Primetime and Movie gigs.
I've never had a problem finding movie gigs. Once I hit Fame 3 and switch agencies, they are always right there. I think you need to be in the acting career level 8 though to get them.
Carl's Guides has a very good site listing all the gigs and such.
